Enter pickleball — noisy, trendy, and ready to steal their turf. Faced with extinction, the locals hatch an outrageously dumb-but-brilliant scheme: a $50,000, winner-take-all tournament to put paddle tennis back on the map. Out of pure luck, they actually raise the money.
